FirstGroup, Arriva and Stagecoach all use Monbat Batteries and now the entire bus market will also be targeted. The largest bus manufacturer in the UK also fit Monbat Batteries as OE.

Having won major contracts to supply antifreeze and Lubricants FCSL (Filtration Control Solutions LTD) is enjoying massive growth as is EFL (European Filtration LTD) having won important contracts with WIX filters in the automotive buying group market.
The 25th million foam air filter was manufactured this week at the FCL’s manufacturing plant in Northampton.
Since the original designs in 1980, the latest generation of foam air filters are being specified by bus and train operators worldwide.
Main advantages include longer life, greater particle retention and higher air flows.
Recently FCL won a contract to supply NORTHGATE PLC, the largest truck rental company in Europe with 130,000 trucks, with eco 2 foam filters.
Managing director Deryck Norville is entering the 2011 Great North Run in September, running with his daugher Gemma and son Scott. Deryck and Scott ran in last year’s event and completed the 13mile course in a little over 2 hours and in doing so raised a considerable amount of money for Asthma UK . Deryck’s wife has suffered with this dreadful disease for many years. To complete the course Deryck trained daily at his local gym for 12 months and lost 55lbs in the process.

Gemma who works in FCL’s procurement department has also trained extremely hard and completed her first 10mile run last Friday on her birthday. Scott the team leader is also in heavy training and recently acheived his second Dan in taekwondo.
Their aim this year is to beat last year’s time and to raise even more money for their chosen charity Great Ormond Street Hospital.
The team hope to compete in next year’s London Marathon if all goes well with the training.
